Apple is working on better versions of the iPad Air, mini, and basic iPad. The iPad Air will get Apple’s powerful M2 chip, giving it a speed boost. The iPad mini will also get upgraded with the very fast A15 chip from the iPhone 13. Even the regular iPad will see some small improvements.
Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman says Apple aims to unveil these minor iPad updates in March 2024. This explains why Apple just launched a new Apple Pencil that works with iPad Pros but didn’t reveal any new iPads yet. Gurman also notes that Apple is developing an even bigger update for the iPad Pro lineup. However, it’s unclear if these pro iPads will launch with the other models or come out later in the year.
