Apple Planning Cheaper Next Vision Headset Without Fancy Feature

Apple’s product teams are already working on the next-generation Vision Pro headsets as it prepares to launch the first headset early next year. According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple is prioritizing a cheaper model at the expense of other initiatives, such as AR glasses.

The cheaper headset may cost between $1500-$2500. One way Apple can lower the price is by removing the “EyeSight” feature. This currently uses an outside screen to show a user’s facial expressions to others.

EyeSight tracks where you and others are and renders what your eyes look like. But all this advanced technology adds to the price. Removing it could significantly reduce costs for buyers.

Apple will also cut down on the number of cameras and sensors compared to the first high-end Vision Pro model. Gurman reports that this cheaper headset will give users everything they need alone in a room.

In addition, Apple is working on improving the upcoming high-end Vision Pro 2. It will focus on weight reduction and comfort. Faster processors are also expected.

It seems Apple wants more peto experience in its mixed reality headsets. By removing an unneeded feature, can it make this futuristic technology more affordable? Stay tuned for updates on Apple’s next generations of advanced visionary wearables!
