Could a Bigger iPad Air Be Coming Soon? We Want To Know If You’d Buy One!

We’ve heard some rumors lately that Apple may introduce a new iPad Air model with a larger screen. Some sources say Apple has been testing two new versions of the iPad Air: one that’s just an updated model like usual, and another that has a different design, potentially with a bigger display. Other reporters have confirmed these rumors too.

Since we know a bigger iPad Air could be in the works, we want to find out from you: would you purchase one if Apple made it? Let’s take a closer look at what the rumors are saying and see what you think!

Reports are that Apple has codenamed the updated regular iPad Air models, the J507 and J508. These will likely just replace the current iPad Air 5 with a newer chip, like the powerful M2 that’s in other recent iPads. Nothing too unusual there.

But the other potential new iPad Air models are called the J537 and J538. The different code names suggest the design may be different compared to regular iPad Air updates. One tipster mentioned Apple has tested a 12.9-inch iPad model that uses a traditional LCD screen instead of the mini-LED in the current iPad Pro line. Since the 12.9-inch iPad Pro is their only tablet over 10 inches right now, this larger LCD iPad being tested could very well end up being a bigger iPad Air!

The current 10.9-inch iPad Air costs $599, while the smaller 12.9-inch iPad Pro is priced at $1,099. So a larger Air could hit a great middle ground for those wanting a bigger screen for media without paying Pro-level prices. Just like how the new MacBook Air comes in a bigger 15-inch size for more screen real estate.

So what do you think – would you buy a 12.9-inch or similar-sized iPad Air if Apple offered one? Let us know what you think in the poll and comments below. A larger Air could be a fun new option, but maybe it would make their tablet lineup too confusing too! Cast your vote to share your thoughts.
