OnePlus has confirmed the release date for its OxygenOS 14 operating system based on Android 14. Customers should begin receiving the stable version of Android on September 25. As of right now, we don’t have a confirmed Android 14 release date from Google, so it’s still possible that OnePlus could delay the rollout depending on when Google releases Android 14 on its end.
OxygenOS 14 will include a new feature called Trinity Engine. Trinity Engine is a set of 6 technologies that help improve performance and battery life. It makes your phone faster, allows apps to work better together, and keeps your device running smoothly for longer.
We don’t know yet which OnePlus phones will get the update first, but the newest phone like the OnePlus 11 is likely to receive it first. The Nord 3 and 11R phones will also hopefully get it soon since they are testing beta versions now.
OnePlus plans to start a beta program for other phones to test OxygenOS 14 before its full release. This helps find and fix any bugs. They will also beta-test the update for the popular 10 Pro model.
The new OnePlus foldable phone is expected to launch soon too. It makes sense for this phone to come with the final OxygenOS 14 already installed, as long as OnePlus can release it before the foldable arrives.
