According to reporter Mark Gurman from Bloomberg, Apple will announce new Mac computers at the end of this month, on October 30th or 31st. He says the 24-inch iMac will get an upgrade for sure. Multiple new MacBook Pro laptops may also be revealed.
The current 24-inch iMac came out in early 2021 with Apple’s M1 chip. It’s due for a refresh with possibly the new M2 or M3 processor. This would make it faster than the original model. New MacBook Pros would be unexpected so soon after the last ones. But Apple has done updates like this before.
Gurman also shared that a larger 32-inch iMac is still in the works too. However, that premium desktop won’t launch until late 2024 or 2025. The new Macs will be here just before Apple’s quarterly earnings call on November 2nd.
This means holiday shoppers will have the latest models to choose from. It’s the second Apple product event for October too. They recently announced an upgraded Apple Pencil with USB-C charging.
