Use Google’s AI to Help You Write with Chrome’s Newest Feature

In the past month, Google Chrome released a generative AI-powered Tab Organizer. As of Chrome 122, users can now enable “Help me write.”

This useful feature allows the use of AI assistance for writing in any text field on the web. By right-clicking in a text box, you can select “Help me write” and receive suggestions based on the page content.

For example, if writing a review on a shoe website, AI suggestions will highlight relevant product details to include. You can also generate additional content by selecting text and refining for details like word length or formality.

“Help me write” works similarly to how AI write assistance operates in Gmail and Google Docs already. It aims to provide a seamless experience across platforms using Google’s Gemini AI models.

The feature is rolling out now for Chrome 122 on Windows and Mac devices in English. To try it, go to Chrome settings > Experimental AI and toggle on “Help me write.”

Chrome 122 for Android will also start rolling out text-to-speech functionality soon. Users can listen to web pages by accessing the new TTS option in the overflow menu.

With AI writing assistants, Google Chrome continues leveraging generative technologies to enhance the browsing experience. Give “Help Me Write” a try to turbocharge your online writing tasks!
