Google Chrome to Get Handy New AI Tools

Google Chrome is testing 3three new experimental generative AI features for desktop users. The company announced in a blog post that the features will first head to Chrome users in the US. Over the next few days, they will be available on Chrome for Macs and Windows PCs. So what are these new Gen-AI features? Let’s check them out!

First up is a Tab Organizer. Sometimes our browser tabs can get messy. Now Chrome will automatically group similar tabs together for you. Just right-click on a tab and pick “Organize Tabs” and Chrome will name and arrange them.

Next is generative AI themes like on the Pixel 8 phone. You can customize Chrome’s look by describing a topic, mood or colors. Chrome will use artificial intelligence to design a new theme for you.

Finally, a “Help Me Write” option is coming. Whether leaving a review or message, just right-click text boxes and Chrome will pitch in writing ideas. Tell it a few starter words and it can help brainstorm the rest.

To access these new AI features, sign into Chrome on your desktop. Then find the “Experimental AI” page in Settings to turn them on.

Google says more artificial intelligence is coming to Chrome throughout the year. These tools could make browsing and writing online much easier with a helping hand from AI. Expect Chrome’s artificial intelligence abilities to grow even smarter!
