Danti Gets $5 Million to Help Their Earth Search Engine Grow

Artificial intelligence startup Danti, which is building a superpower search engine for Earth data, has partnered with Shield Capital to scale its technology. Danti’s search engine lets people search through lots of Earth data, like satellite pictures and reports, using simple language. Now with $5 million in new funding, Danti can continue improving their engine to help more users.

Danti was started last year by CEO Jesse Kallman. He wanted to build a tool where people didn’t need tech skills to find important information buried in datasets. With Danti’s search engine, you can ask questions in your own words instead of technical terms. For example, you could ask “Where is that ship off the coast of Nigeria?” instead of searching specific satellite images. This helps analysts answer questions fast so they have more time for important work.

One of Danti’s first customers is the US Space Force. Space Force members use Danti to quickly search and share Earth data from satellites and drones. This helps them make decisions when things happen fast. Right now Danti focuses on the US government but hopes to help other industries later, like utilities and insurance, by allowing searches of their company data too.

The new $5 million funding round was led by Shield Capital. They invest in defense technology companies, which will help Danti as it works with more government agencies. Danti will use the money to improve its artificial intelligence technology and hire more engineers. Since starting over a year ago, Danti has already grown to employ over 20 people. With the extra funds, they plan to hire even more staff.

This new partnership should allow Danti to increase the impact of its natural language search engine. With more financing and talent recruited, Danti is positioned to streamline data analysis for many important organizations that depend on timely Earth insights.
