You might be familiar with Threads, Meta’s microblogging platform similar to X (formerly Twitter). The platform was launched in July and has since received many requests for features. As you might expect, Meta wants to bring Trending Topics to Threads, helping users find posts on the most discussed topics on the platform right now.
We recently learned that Threads will get a special Trending Topics section. A Meta employee accidentally shared a screenshot showing what Trending Topics will look like. It showed the most commented-on topics with the number of posts for each one. Trending Topics will be in the Search part of the app, where you can find public posts from other users by keyword.
The employee screenshot was from a test version of Threads so the final Trending Topics might look a little different. But since employees can already use it, we hope everyone can soon!
Threads also recently made it easier to switch between accounts without logging out. In August, they launched Threads on the web so you can use it from your computer or iPad too.
You can download Threads for free from the App Store for iPhones updated to iOS 14 or later. Or visit threads.net to use it on the web. threads has been improving a lot recently with new features fans have asked for. Soon we’ll get to see Trending Topics to easily find the most talked about subjects.
