Microsoft Expanding Copilot Pro Globally

Microsoft has announced that Copilot Pro will be available in 222 countries by the end of the year. Copilot Pro is now available in eight languages, enabling more users to use Microsoft’s AI services. The company is hoping more people around the world can access and benefit from their smart artificial intelligence tools.

What is Copilot Pro and what does it do?

Copilot Pro is Microsoft’s subscription service that provides enhanced artificial intelligence features in popular apps like Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and more. For a low monthly fee of $20, users get extra help from Microsoft’s AI assistants without needing an expensive Microsoft 365 subscription.

Some of the main advantages Copilot Pro offers include:

  • Summarizing long texts automatically in Word
  • Creating draft emails with just a few clicks in Outlook
  • Designing good looking PowerPoint presentations quickly
  • Getting these AI features on mobile through new Copilot apps for iPhone and Android coming soon

Copilot Pro users also get first priority access to new AI models like GPT-4 when they are ready. The subscription provides extra storage for generated images each month compared to free users. Businesses and companies will be able to add Copilot for Microsoft 365 to their existing subscriptions in the coming weeks as well.

Is Copilot Pro worth it? What are the additional costs?

While Copilot Pro by itself is affordable, users still need a separate Microsoft 365 personal or family plan to access all the AI tools from within desktop apps like Word and Excel. These start at around $7/month and $10/month respectively. For companies, Copilot for Microsoft 365 costs an extra $30 per employee each month on top of their existing subscriptions.

So in summary, Microsoft is hoping more people around the world can benefit from smart artificial intelligence assistance through Copilot Pro’s expanded global availability and affordable monthly pricing.
