You Can Now Hum and Sing to Find Songs on YouTube Music

A Reddit user found a cool new feature. The YouTube Music app on the iPhone now has an icon next to the voice search. It lets you search songs by humming, singing, or playing them out loud!

Google already has a similar feature that helps find songs. You can use the Google Search app or your Pixel phone’s “Now Playing” mode. These identify songs playing near you. Plus, Google Assistant can find songs by just humming on Android devices.

Having this feature in YouTube Music makes a lot of sense. After all, it’s a music app! But when I checked my YouTube music, I didn’t see the new icon yet. It seems Google is testing it with some users before rolling it out to everyone. Let me know if you’ve spotted the hum-to-search option in your YouTube Music app!

This new way to browse YouTube Music’s huge library by singing or humming is super handy. I’m looking forward to trying it out when it’s available to more people. Being able to identify songs without knowing the name will be really fun!
