Many Apple Watch Owners Deal With Battery Drain Issues

A wide range of Apple Watch users appear to be affected by this battery drain issue. This includes both new models like the Series 9 and Ultra 2, as well as older watches like the Series 4. People said that after updating to watchOS 10.1, their Apple Watch battery life started going down much more quickly than before.

Apple knows about the problem and is working on a fix. In a memo to tech support staff, Apple said a software update is coming soon to address the battery drain. Unfortunately, they did not give a date for when the update will be ready.

Many Apple Watch users have complained about bad battery life after the latest software update. Some posts on Twitter said their Series 9 battery went from full to empty in just three hours. Another person tweeted their Series 7 lost 25% charge in only half an hour. Complaints have also been found on Reddit and Apple’s support forums from frustrated watch owners.

The battery drain issues seem widespread. Have you noticed your Apple Watch battery isn’t lasting as long lately? Let me know in the comments if you’ve been having battery problems after updating to watchOS 10.1. We’ll update this article when Apple releases the software fix they have promised.
