Google is excited to bring its new chat assistant Gemini to more users. Gemini started on Android phones but now you can use it on your iPhone too!
If you have the Google app already installed on your iPhone, just open it and look for the Gemini option. You’ll see a button at the bottom of the app that lets you switch between the regular Google search and the Gemini chat.
Talking to Gemini is easy. Just press the microphone icon and ask your question out loud. Or you can type what you want to ask. Gemini will reply on the screen – remember to press the speaker to hear the answer out loud.
Gemini can help in lots of ways. You can chat about any topic and Gemini will give you a short summary. It can also write emails or thank you notes for you. Or Gemini can create custom images or even code!
Since iPhone has Siri built-in already, Gemini acts a little differently than on Android phones. You can’t make Gemini pop up anywhere like you can with Android. But the chat experience in the Google app works great.
Apple is also working on improving Siri, so iPhone users should see helpful new AI features coming soon too. In the meantime, try out Gemini in the Google app for a new way to get answers from your phone!
