Google’s Pixel Tablet supports the USI 2.0 stylus. It means you can use any pen compatible with the standard to draw, write, highlight, and more. Now, it looks like your experience of using a stylus with the Pixel Tablet is going to get much better.
Insiders have discovered that Google plans to add new stylus writing controls. When connecting a USI pen, options will pop up to select a notes app and write in text fields. Here, Gboard’s stylus settings will allow for adjusting writing speed and line thickness.
Best of all, a “Try it” button lets users experiment with handy gestures. This includes writing, deleting, selecting text, joining words, and starting new lines. All of this aims to create a natural note-taking flow.
Screenshots of the upcoming features were spotted, though they aren’t functional yet. Still, a rollout is likely imminent according to source details.
By optimizing the stylus experience with customizable controls and useful gestures, Google is enhancing the Pixel Tablet’s productivity potential. The update should please anyone who relies on digital ink for notetaking, sketching or more.
