The Google One app allows Pixel 8 users to view and manage their Google One subscription. However, the same benefits apply to other top Android smartphones as well. Google is offering select users a great deal on Google One subscriptions. Some people are seeing a discount that takes 75% off the regular price for the first 3 months.
This discount applies to all the different storage tiers – from 100GB basic to 2TB premium plans. Normally the basic 100GB option is $1.59 a month. But with the discount, it would only be $0.39 for the first 3 billing periods.
The discount seems to be available in the UK so far, showing up for some with a Galaxy S22 Ultra. It hasn’t popped up on a Pixel 8 yet. But Google may roll it out more widely globally over time.
The discount offer was discovered in code for the Google Photos app. This app often prompts people to upgrade storage through Google One. Now it has a new “Unlock storage discount” button linking to the discounted subscription page.
