Google Photos Brings Locked Folder Upgrade!

In addition to its excellent gallery capabilities, Google Photos comes preloaded on most Android devices worldwide. Google Photos is not just a presence, it also provides an excellent photo backup solution that is very useful for most users who regularly take photos of themselves, their pets, and their families. You can also hide sensitive media content with Photos’ Locked Folder feature. So that you don’t accidentally lose your images and videos, Google now lets you back them up in your Locked Folder. Also, Locked Folder is coming to iOS and the web!

Locked Folder is a special space in Google Photos that keeps your private content safe behind a password. Photos in Locked Folder stay hidden from your regular photo grid and won’t show up in sharing or other apps. Until now, content was only stored on your device and not backed up.

The new update gives you the choice to back up your Locked Folder photos and videos to the cloud too. This means you can access private memories across all your devices while still keeping them secure. If you prefer, you can keep using Locked Folder only on one device without cloud backup too.

For even more protection and access, Google is also bringing Locked Folder to iOS and the web. Soon you’ll be able to safely store and view private media from any phone, tablet or computer. Google also simplified Photos’ settings to more easily control privacy, backup, sharing and other options.

Thanks to these improvements, Google Photos’ Locked Folder ensures your special memories stay truly private – no matter where you are or which device you use!
