Samsung’s New Smart Fridge Can Help You Cook Up Delicious Recipes

In the new year, Samsung will release a smart refrigerator with AI features, including an internal camera that can identify individual foods and an app that can suggest recipes based on what you have in stock. Next year, the company plans to unveil the 2024 Bespoke 4-Door Flex Refrigerator with AI Family Hub+ at CES 2024. Family Hub users can mirror their Galaxy phones’ displays to the 32-inch touchscreen, and there are even apps for TikTok and YouTube.

The Samsung Food app on the fridge can connect to your Samsung Health profile. It will use this information to find recipes that fit your diet goals. The app can also look at photos of food and try to guess the recipes. It can identify over 30 common foods. But it may not have unusual ingredients.

You can add expiration dates for items on the touchscreen. The fridge will remind you before foods go bad. Samsung has made “smart fridges” since 2016. However, this new model focuses more on AI features than internet connectivity.

Previous smart fridges from Samsung were not as user-friendly. The touchscreens were slow, and the apps took a long time to load. This new fridge seems to work better. Samsung also wants the fridge to be the center of their smart kitchen products. Their other AI appliances, like ovens, will connect to it.

In the future, Samsung plans to release an induction cooktop that works with the fridge app. It has a slide-in range and touchscreen to view recipes while cooking. The new smart fridge aims to make cooking healthier, easier and more fun with the help of artificial intelligence.
