New Samsung Update Causing Wireless Android Auto Problems for Some

Samsung has made its latest Android update available for many Galaxy phones, but some users have found it is messing up their wireless Android Auto. The Android 14 update gives Galaxy phones new software based on the latest Android features. Most people have not had any major issues after getting this update.

However, a number of Galaxy owners have reported that since updating, their Android Auto no longer works without being plugged into their car with a cable. This problem has happened on different Samsung Galaxy phones like the Galaxy S22 and newer S series models. People in online discussions say the wireless connection just will not turn on or it cuts in and out a lot.

Google, who makes Android Auto, has acknowledged there is an issue. Their team is tracking complaints about it not working after the Samsung update. But so far there is no fix released. The good news is people can still use Android Auto, they just need to use a USB cable instead of connecting without wires.

It seems some Pixel phone users have also run into wireless connection issues but only after their December security update, not as many people though. Samsung will need to work with Google to send out an app update or include a fix in their next software update to resolve the problem for Galaxy owners. In the meantime, a wired connection works as a temporary solution. Let’s hope a permanent fix is coming soon so everyone can enjoy the wireless convenience of Android Auto again.
