New Pictures Show HomePod Prototype with Screen

A few months ago, Apple prototype collector Kosutami shared images of a prototype HomePod with an LCD display. According to independent sources, the images are likely for an upcoming generation of HomePod. Kosutami has now released more pictures of this HomePod prototype that has a touch screen.

The prototype HomePod model with the code name B720 looks just like the regular HomePod but with one big difference – it has a screen on top! The screen area is the same size that was seen in the first pictures. But instead of color lights, this prototype has an actual touch display.

Current HomePods do not come with screens. They only have LED lights that can change color. But Apple wants to make future HomePods more exciting for customers. That’s why it’s been working on versions that have full screen interfaces. The screen itself is flat but will have curved glass covering it. We don’t yet know what the screen will actually look like or do. But reports say it could show music details or let you answer calls and messages.

Apple has experimented with many different HomePod prototypes that have displays. One was like an Amazon Echo Show. But the B720 model Kosutami leaked may be what comes out soon. Of course, Apple could also decide not to make this prototype available and keep working on it privately.
