At a Glance on the Pixel Watch is supposed to show things like the time, date, weather, and more all in one spot. But recently, the date has gone missing! This makes the watch less useful.
Also, when people try to update the keyboard called Gboard on their Pixel Watch, it isn’t working. The update downloads, but then says it can’t install. This means the keyboard stays old, and people can’t get new features.
The missing date on At a Glance seems to be a problem on Google’s end. We just have to wait for them to fix it. As for the Gboard update, something must be wrong with how it tries to install. The current version people have is 2.5.07.555298297.
A glance normally shows the temperature outside along with the forecast. It will say if rain is coming and what the high and low temperatures will be that day. You can tap it to open the weather app for more details. But now you only see the temperature—no date!
Gboard is the virtual keyboard that comes on Pixel Watches. An update was available a few days ago that was only a few MB big. But when people tried to download and install it, it failed. The error message said “Can’t install Gboard – the Google Keyboard”. So the old version is all they have for now.
Pixel Watch owners are hoping Google fixes these issues quickly. At a Glance is less helpful without the date. And Gboard could really use any bug fixes or new features from the latest update. We’ll have to wait and see what Google does to resolve disappearing features on their Pixel Watch.
