New Galaxy S24 Features Like Google Lens and 7 Years of Updates Revealed

Samsung’s Galaxy S24 series is less than a week away from launch, and a huge number of leaks have revealed some new features and boosted updates. Last week, more details were shared online about what we can expect from the Galaxy S24, S24+, and S24 Ultra.

Some marketing images showed cool new AI features coming to the phones. This includes “Live Translate,” which lets you translate calls in real-time. AI will also be used to help take better zoom photos at night. There’s a new “Note Assist” tool in the Notes app that uses AI too.

The images also listed some specs. The S24 Ultra will have the biggest 6.8 inch screen and it will be flat this time. All three phones will have very bright screens reaching 2600 nits. The smaller S24 and S24+ will have 50 megapixel main cameras while the Ultra gets a huge 200 megapixel camera.

Two new features were highlighted. The first is called “Circle to Search” which lets you easily search anything on your screen using just your finger or S Pen. No need to take screenshots first. It sounds like this uses Google Lens which is very handy.

The other big news is that Samsung will provide seven years of Android updates for the Galaxy S24 line. This matches what Google does with its Pixels. It’s great to see Samsung offering so many years of support. Features from Samsung will be free until 2025 too.

The Galaxy S24 launch event is on January 17th. You can reserve the phones now to get $50 off when pre-ordering. Fans are excited to see all the new improvements coming with this upcoming Galaxy S series!
