iPhone 15 Pro Overheating Fix Coming Soon?

According to reports, Apple is preparing iOS 17.0.3, which may resolve the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max overheating issues. The update is already being tested internally, according to MacRumors. As iOS 17.0.2 was released just last week, iOS 17.0.3 should be the next update for the new iPhones. In addition to fixing data transfer issues, the previous update also fixed a bug that affected all iPhone 15 models.

Apple has acknowledged overheating problems with the new Pro iPhones in the past few days. They blamed a bug in iOS 17 but didn’t provide details. Apps like Uber, Instagram, and Asphalt 9 were said to overload the powerful A17 chip, causing the issue.

Apple said their tests found the titanium frames of the Pro phones dissipate heat better than previous steel models. So the material is not the problem. They also stated that some apps need to be updated by developers.

Reports say iOS 17.0.3 could finally fix the overheating bugs plaguing the expensive new iPhones. Apple is testing the update internally already. While details aren’t confirmed, all signs point to this software resolving the heating issues.

Even after updating, Apple warned the phones may feel warm in the first few days of use due to background activities. But iOS 17.0.3 should prevent abnormal overheating long-term. iPhone 15 Pro owners may soon be able to use their phones without worrying about them getting too hot! Stay tuned for the official release.
