Pixel 8 Prices are Out! What You’ll Pay for the New Phones

Pixel 8 vs Pixel 8 pro

In preparation for Google’s Pixel 8 launch later today, we already know most of the details about the new phones. However, there has been a last-minute leak that has revealed apparent pricing, including storage costs. An insider called MysteryLupin shared what we can expect to pay for the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro in different storage options.

The leak says the regular Pixel 8 with 128GB of storage will cost $699. If you want 256GB of storage instead, that model will be $759.

The Pixel 8 Pro is more expensive like last year. The 128GB model is reported to be $999. For 256GB of storage on the Pro, you’d pay $1,059. If you need the most storage at 512GB, the leaked price is $1,179.

That means you’ll have to pay an extra $60 to upgrade from 128GB to 256GB on both phones. Last year, Google charged $100 more for the 256GB versions.

MysteryLupin also shared expected prices for the new Pixel Watch 2 smartwatch. It’s rumored the WiFi model will cost $349, while the LTE version that can make calls without your phone may be $399.

We’ll know if these leaked prices are correct later today when Google officially announces the new Pixel phones at their launch event. But it looks like the phones may be $100 more than last year’s models overall. Check back for all the official details later!
