Gmail for Android Makes Email Replies Easy and Fun

Gmail knows that we sometimes forget to reply to emails we read. That’s why they are testing a new feature to make replying quick and easy. Now when you read an email on your Android phone, there will be a box at the bottom where you can write your reply.

No more tapping buttons! In the past, you had to tap the Reply button to start writing. Now the box is always there waiting for you to type. If you need to send it to more people, the drop-down menu is still there. You can also make the box bigger by tapping the arrow.

As you write, smiley faces and the send button will pop up so you’re never distracted. Gmail wants you to focus on writing your message. If you type as you read the email, you won’t forget important details to reply about later either.

This new design looks just like the messaging apps we use every day. That means replying to emails can feel as quick and normal as chatting with friends. The box gets out of your way too so your fingers have space to type long replies.

Not everyone sees the new design yet though. Gmail is testing it to make sure it works well before releasing it to all. They want replying to feel effortless so we always respond to messages that need a reply. Pretty soon, forgotten emails may be a thing of the past thanks to Gmail’s easy email replies!
