The Nothing Phone 2 already has fun lights on the back, called “Glyphs”. But they don’t do much important. Now a test is adding your calendar to make the lights more useful.
When you have an event coming up in Google Calendar, the Phone 2 will soon count down to it using the Glyphs. In the last 5 minutes, the lights will flash to remind you! All because of new software called Nothing OS 2.5.
To set it up, just open your calendar like normal. Then the Phone 2 will sync automatically and get ready to glow. You don’t have to do anything extra. It’s a cool way to glance at your phone and see what’s next without unlocking.
The lights can already be a timer or show charge level. Now calendar fits right in. Nothing is testing the new integration to make reminders fun and easy to see.
More changes in the software test add custom settings too. You can adjust the tap button differently or control apps with simple hand movements. The update aims to make Android 14 even smoother on the Phone 2.
