Gemini Can Now Help You Remember With Google Tasks

With the Google Assistant integration and Google Tasks, Gemini on Android can now set reminders. This was a much-requested feature since reminders are so useful. Saying “remind me to take out the trash tomorrow evening” will save the reminder directly in your Google Tasks.

You’ll see the reminder listed at the correct date and time. An option to “Open Tasks” lets you check or modify reminders. Asking “show me my reminders” will display any scheduled reminders in a handy list right from Gemini.

The updates work with Gemini Advanced in the US but may still be rolling out everywhere. Being able to set timely reminders through Google’s reliable task manager makes Gemini feel more like a complete virtual helper.

Music control was one missing feature but reminders took top priority. Now that it’s enabled, we’re one step closer to Gemini being a fully functional phone assistant. More Google Assistant integrations will come that build on this improved platform.

Do you use Gemini Advanced? Let me know if you’ve tested the new reminder functionality in Google Tasks. Partnerships like this strengthen Gemini’s abilities to get things done through your preferred Google services.
