Gemini Rools Out to Gmail and Docs for Google One Members

As part of the new Google One AI Premium plan, personal accounts now have access to Gemini features in Gmail, Docs, and other Workspace apps. According to Google, the integration allows you to “get more done without jumping between tabs or apps.”

Gemini (formerly known as Duet AI) makes its debut in Gmail. When composing an email, use “Help me write” to get suggestions or generate full responses. You can also polish your drafts by having Gemini formalize, elaborate, or shorten them up with a single click.

In Google Docs, Gemini powers the popular “Help me write” feature for custom writing prompts. Additional tools save you time by bulletizing, summarizing, or adjusting the formality of your tone. A new Proofread feature spots typos, improves conciseness, and ensures your wording and sentence structure are easy to understand.

Google Slides, Sheets and Meet also get boosted with Gemini. Create engaging images, auto-fill tables, and enhance your video calls with virtual backgrounds, lighting and sound effects.

Best of all, it’s included with your Google One subscription at no extra cost. For $19.99/month, the AI Premium plan unlocks 2TB of cloud storage and loads of Gemini’s smart writing aids across major Workspace apps. Google is offering new and existing members a two-month free trial too.

So if you’re a Google One subscriber looking to amplify your productivity, unlocking Gemini integration could be the boost your workflow needs. The features blend seamlessly across platforms for a consistently seamless experience.
