Gemini Assistant Can Now Schedule Tasks For You

As a potential replacement for Google Assistant, Google’s powerful AI language model, Gemini, has already been released on Android and iOS smartphones. The Gemini digital assistant is capable of advanced features such as conversation, text generation, and search when selected as the default digital assistant. However, one thing it couldn’t do before was schedule tasks to happen automatically. But that is all about to change!

Developers found new settings in the Gemini app called “Live Prompts”. This likely means Gemini will soon let you schedule tasks and routines like you can with Google Assistant. Things like turning on lights in the morning or getting a daily news report. There was also a mention of a “List of live prompts”, confirming you can save multiple automated actions.

Imagine being able to tell Gemini to do a bunch of things each day at 7am, like reading the news headlines, checking your calendar and turning on smart home devices. No more having to do it all manually! You can just set it and forget it.

This is a big upgrade and puts Gemini more on par with Google Assistant. Give Gemini the ability to schedule reminders and automated routines, and it could fully replace the other assistant. No longer would people have to use two assistants for different capabilities.

We don’t know when Google will add this feature yet. But stay tuned – automated tasks are coming soon to Gemini so you can be more productive with just one click. Let me know if you are excited to use Gemini to schedule your mornings!
