Google Upgrades Android Studio Bot with Super Smart Gemini

As part of Google’s Gemini rollout, the company today announced that Android Studio’s bot has been upgraded with Gemini Pro. This will make the bot, called Studio Bot, even smarter when it comes to helping Android app developers.

Studio Bot lives right inside Android Studio. Android Studio is a popular program that developers use to build Android apps. Studio Bot can answer questions developers have about coding, like helping to fix bugs or complete lines of code. It can also find useful resources online to help with writing documentation or getting debugging tips.

Before, Studio Bot used PAML-2, which was Google’s previous AI model. Now it has the new and improved Gemini Pro! Google says developers should see answers that make more sense and are more helpful.

For privacy, you’ll need to sign in to your Google account and turn on Gemini before using it. The bot learns from the specific questions each developer asks to give the best responses. It doesn’t save private info about you.

Developers can also access Gemini right from Android Studio to add really smart features to their apps. This could help apps understand language better or generate new content.

Google wants Studio Bot to be just as helpful as other bots from rivals like GitHub. In the future it may answer questions about Google’s developer tools too. All in all, the Gemini upgrade makes Android Studio’s bot way smarter thanks to cutting-edge AI!
