Since the iPhone has USB-C ports, Apple is now selling wired EarPods with USB-C connectors that can be used with the new smartphones – and many other Apple devices as well. The new USB-C EarPods from Apple will connect to iPhones, iPads, and Mac computers. But your device needs the latest software update for the EarPods to pair up.
The USB-C EarPods will work if your:
- Mac has macOS version 12.6 or later
- iPad has iPadOS version 16.4 or later
- iPhone has iOS version 17 or later
While you need the new software, it’s great to know Apple-made USB-C EarPods. Now you can use the great-sounding EarPods with both the new iPhone and MacBook. It’s too bad Apple stopped including EarPods with iPhones, but at least they made a USB-C version now for $20 at the Apple Store.
