While Threads lets you search for keywords, it had a big problem – search results weren’t in order of when posts were made. The newest posts would get mixed in with older ones. But that’s fixed now with Threads’ latest update.
Users can now choose to see “Top” results, like before, or “Latest” results where new posts are first. This works for searches and when browsing topics people discuss using hashtags.
Once you pick “Latest”, Threads will remember and always show search results with recent posts up top from now on. This new option makes searching and discovery much better on Threads.
It’s surprising Meta changed this since their CEO said recently they didn’t plan to. But users must have asked for it a lot. For now, the latest search results filter is only on the iPhone app of Threads. Android and web versions may get it soon too.
