The Chromebox Micro: Big Performance in a Tiny Package

Chrome OS-powered devices come in all shapes and sizes, with laptops dominating the market. However, Chromebox desktops have also been seen in a smaller form factor. Now, a new Chromebox has been announced by Google and Lenovo.

Google and Lenovo have partnered to create the smallest and most affordable Chromebox yet, the Chromebox Micro. This tiny computer is about the size of a smartphone and only weighs 1 pound. Even though it’s small, the Chromebox Micro packs impressive features inside.

It has a speedy Intel Celeron processor, 8GB of memory, and 32GB of storage. The computer runs very cool without any fans because of its compact design. The Chromebox Micro has many ports too, including two USB-C ports, two regular USB ports, an HDMI port, an Ethernet port, and a headphone jack. This means you can connect displays, keyboards, mice, and more easily.

The Chromebox Micro is designed to be used in stores and digital signs that need to run all day long. It can power two big 4K screens at once. Lenovo is also making special displays just for the Chromebox Micro that hold the computer inside for a tidy setup.

The tiny but powerful Chromebox Micro will be available starting early next year for only $219. While it’s aimed at businesses, regular users may be able to get one too if stock allows. This pint-sized computer is an affordable option for those who want a small desktop OS without a high price.
