POCO Refreshes Two Mid-Range Phones With 128GB and 256GB Storage

The POCO brand is no stranger to rebranding, as it gives Xiaomi devices a fresh coat of paint and a new name frequently. With the launch of the POCO X6 and X6 Pro, this rebranding trend continues. Both phones have a lot in common, like fast screens, in-display fingerprint sensors, fast charging support, and water-resistant ratings.

The X6 Pro is POCO’s more powerful model. It has the Dimensity 8300 chip which is faster than what’s in the regular X6. It also supports the latest Bluetooth and WiFi versions. You can get the X6 Pro with 8GB or 12GB of RAM and 128GB, 256GB or 512GB of storage. It has a 5,000mAh battery like the X6. The triple camera system on the back includes a 64 megapixel main camera.

I had a chance to briefly use the X6 Pro. I really liked the yellow textured back cover. The plastic frame makes it feel durable while keeping costs down. It runs POCO’s HyperOS software on top of MIUI, which is Xiaomi’s user interface with some customization. Many pre-installed apps can’t be removed. But performance seems good, according to initial benchmark tests.

The standard X6 has the Snapdragon 7 Gen 2 processor inside. It also gives you 128GB or 256GB of storage in the base models, beating many top brands. A standout feature is keeping the headphone jack. It uses MIUI software instead of HyperOS for now, but will get updated. Both phones have triple rear cameras and mid-range specs at affordable prices below USD 400.

With 128GB and 256GB storage variants starting under $300, the POCO X6 series offers great value for those looking for phones with generous storage at wallet-friendly prices. Their refreshed designs and specs could make these two rebranded Xiaomi phones popular mid-range options.
