It is almost impossible to notice the crease in the OnePlus Open display

Following CEO Pete Lau’s revelation that the OnePlus Open and OPPO Find N3 are identical smartphones, we got our first look at the handset via a popular YouTube channel. This time, we get a glimpse of the main screen as well as how the device compares in size with the Galaxy Z Fold 5.

In a new video by Jagat Review, they take a closer look at the OnePlus Open display. Just like before, the camera is covered with paper, so we can’t see what it looks like. When held next to the Galaxy Z Fold 5, we can see they are about the same thickness. The Open is also a little wider than the Fold 5 when opened up. Other than that, there’s not much to see about the outside of the phone.

But when you open up the OnePlus Open, something catches your eye. Like other folding phones, there is a crease line where the screen folds. But when compared to the Galaxy Z Fold 5 crease, the Open’s is much less noticeable. The Fold 5 crease almost looks like a small valley.

We also know the OnePlus Open hinge is 37% smaller than on previous Find models. Pete Lau said it uses 31 fewer parts too. The OnePlus Open launch is just 10 days away, on October 19th. Until then, we may see more leaks about what it can do!
