Instagram Testing Option to Pick Dates for Your Photos

In the near future, Instagram, one of the best apps for Android, may add a significant new feature. According to a screenshot shared recently, your posts may soon be able to be backdated.

A trusted Instagram tipster posted a picture showing “Post to the Past” as an option when sharing a new photo. This suggests you could choose to post photos with past dates.

Selecting the option would likely bring up a calendar for picking the date. But it’s unknown if Instagram would show these photos were not posted on that date.

Backdating photos could cause problems if used to mislead people in arguments or lawsuits by changing when an event appeared online.
