The skimmer has finally been introduced in Destiny 2. As an exotic vehicle, the hoverboard can be used for air tricks or to grind rails on Destiny 2’s many vibrant planets. This new ride is really fun to use and goes fast too! Here is how you can get your own skimmer hoverboard.
The skimmer comes in two versions – the regular one and a special exotic one. To get the regular skimmer, you just need to finish the event quest from Eva Levante at the Tower. This quest is part of the Guardian Games event happening now.
If you want the exotic skimmer, you’ll have to do extra work. You can earn it by getting a top 10% score in Nightfall challenges. Or you can open reward packages 3 times from focused activities. These packages give out exotic gear sometimes.
Once you unlock the skimmer, equip it in your character’s vehicle slot. You can only use one vehicle at a time, so the skimmer goes in the same place as your sparrow.
There is also a cooler-looking skimmer themed after the Gjallarhorn rocket launcher. This “Winged Wolf” skimmer is available for silver in the in-game store.
