ASUS Gives Us a First Look at the Upcoming ROG Phone 8

According to ASUS, the ROG Phone 8 is coming soon, and we may see the gaming phone at CES 2024. Several images of the new device have now been released by the company. The pictures give us our best look yet at what the ROG Phone 8 will look like.

The images come from a contest that ASUS held on their website. In the contest, people could choose the best pictures in different situations, like close-ups or with Zoom. It showed you pictures of the new ROG Phone 8 when you finished.

The back of the ROG Phone 8 has a neat square camera bump. The edges are flat instead of rounded like past ROG phones. The back cover looks cleaner and less “gamer style” than the ROG Phone 7. It still has gaming features, though, with colorful lights on the logo. The text below says “GLHF,” which means “Good luck, have fun.”.

The pictures also let us see what may be a side USB port. This would allow charging while playing games in landscape mode. It would also connect gaming accessories.

Something new for the ROG Phone 8 may be telephoto cameras. In the contest, categories included “telephoto x3 zoom” and “telephoto x10 zoom”. This implies the phone will have zoom camera abilities for the first time.

ASUS has a big event planned for January 8th in Las Vegas. They may show off the ROG Phone 8 and other new products then. Stay tuned for the full reveal of the next gaming phone from ASUS!
