YouTube Launches Privately Shared Shorts for Subscribers

YouTube is launching an exclusive version of Shorts for its members, allowing creators to share short-form videos with their paying subscribers. Subscribers will now have access to additional content on top of their current membership benefits, such as custom emojis, badges, and livestreams.

With this new feature, creators can share special videos just for their subscribers. They can upload announcement videos, product videos, or behind-the-scenes clips. Subscribers will feel like they have a closer look at the creator’s life.

Creators just need to select “members only” when uploading a Short. They can also change existing Shorts to private. Creators get to schedule when the private Short becomes available for all viewers.

Subscribers will find the private Shorts mixed in with the regular ones. The private videos will have a small star icon so you know only subscribers can see them. Creators can use private Shorts for fun subscriber Q&As or sneak peeks at upcoming projects.

YouTube wants creators to make these private Shorts more casual than their regular content. That way subscribers feel like they are getting a VIP look behind the scenes.

Many viewers and creators are excited about this new feature. It gives subscribers extra perks for their paid membership and creators a way to reward loyal fans. Only time will tell if more people sign up to be YouTube subscribers with this private Shorts perk!
