Samsung’s New Vacuuming Bot Can Steam Clean Floors

Samsung is finally updating its Jet Bot robot vacuum, which was last updated in 2021. The Bespoke Jet Bot Combo will be on display at CES 2024 and is the first combination of robot vacuum and mop from the Korean electronics giant. (The company offers a standalone robot mop, the Jetbot Mop.) This new 2-in-1 vacuuming mop features some exciting tricks to keep hard floors fresh and germ-free.

While full specs aren’t available yet, the Jet Bot Combo will use a self-cleaning base called the Clean Station. This empties the vacuum’s dirt bin and refills its water tank. It also washes, steams, and dries the robot’s spinning mop pads between uses. This steam cleaning helps remove dried-on messes and kills germs for hygienic mopping.

AI technology powers this robot’s object detection and navigation around homes. It recognizes common items and different floor types. An upgraded sensor allows for precision driving. Best of all, the Jet Bot Combo senses stains and returns to its base to activate powerful steam cleaning on the spot!

Samsung says this is the first robot vacuum that can actually remove its mopping system over carpets. After vacuuming, the mop pads lift up so the bot can clean rugs without risking them getting wet. More details will hopefully emerge during CES, but it’s clear Samsung wants to take vacuuming and mopping to the next level with this innovative new robot cleaner.
