Along with the OnePlus 12, the OnePlus 12R will be released on January 23. A global release should take place in Q1 2024, including the US. In addition to unveiling the phone’s battery and display details, OnePlus has also revealed some details about the phone’s performance.
The OnePlus 12R is said to have the biggest battery ever seen in a OnePlus phone. It will pack a huge 5,500mAh battery inside. That’s more than what the OnePlus 12 has too. This large battery should give you plenty of power to last through the day without needing a charge. Also, the phone will support super-fast 100W charging through OnePlus’ SUPERVOOC technology. This allows you to fuel up the phone quickly when the battery runs low.
OnePlus also shared details about the screen. The 12R will have a 6.78-inch display with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. This means everything on screen from scrolling to animations will look very fluid. It uses LTPO 4.0 technology which allows the screen to adjust its rate down to 90Hz or 72Hz to save battery. The display is also protected by tough Gorilla Glass.
Other rumored specs include the powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip, triple rear cameras with a 50MP main lens, fast storage/memory, and storage options of 128GB or 256GB. All in all, the OnePlus 12R is shaping up to offer flagship-level performance at a likely more affordable price than the OnePlus 12 when both launch early next year. Its massive battery and super-smooth display will definitely be highlights.
