Samsung Teams Up With MrBeast to Convince Teens to Ditch Their iPhones

Samsung Teams Up With MrBeast to Convince Teens to Ditch Their iPhones

Most teenagers – around 87% according to a recent survey – use iPhones instead of Android phones. This leaves Samsung and other Android makers with a small market share among young users. Now, Samsung has a new plan to change that by partnering with popular YouTuber MrBeast.

In his latest video, MrBeast drives around in expensive luxury cars like a $2 million hydrogen car. The entire video was filmed using Samsung’s Galaxy S23 Ultra phone. Samsung also ran ads during the video and in the description promoting their new Galaxy Z Flip 5.

By having MrBeast, who has over 185 million YouTube subscribers, make content with their devices, Samsung hopes more young people will be interested in switching from iPhones. Most teens are highly influenced by social media stars and want the latest tech their favorite creators use.

It remains to be seen if this sponsorship will really convince iPhone-loving teens to try a Samsung. But by putting their phones in the hands of an online sensation like MrBeast, Samsung is aiming to weaken Apple’s strong grip on the youth market. Only time will tell if partnerships with popular YouTubers provide the boost Android makers need to steal some market share back.
