Samsung’s One UI has made significant progress over the years and has rapidly gained popularity as one of the most favored Android interfaces. The forthcoming One UI 6 update, which is built on Android 14, will further enhance Samsung’s approach, primarily emphasizing fine-tuning and perfecting rather than introducing significant new functionalities. Below, we provide comprehensive information regarding the release date, features, and compatibility of One UI 6.
When is One UI 6 Coming Out?
One UI 6 does not have an exact release date yet. However, Samsung usually releases new One UI versions between October and December each year. We expect One UI 6 to start rolling out to devices in the fourth quarter (October–December) of 2023.
What’s New in One UI 6?
One UI 6 focuses on polish and refinement rather than major new features. Some tweaks include updated fonts, simpler app icons, and new widgets like a weather insights widget and a camera shortcut widget. You’ll also see changes to the quick settings menu, notification panel, app drawer search, emoji styles, gallery app, camera app, and more.
