It will be a matter of days before Google shuts down its Podcasts app in the U.S. Users will need to migrate to YouTube Music by April 2 to continue listening to their favorite shows. After this date, users will no longer be able to stream directly from the Podcasts app if they don’t make the move immediately.

Google will soon close its Podcasts app in the US. You only have until April 2nd to move your podcast subscriptions over to YouTube Music. After that date, the Podcast app will no longer work for streaming shows.

The Podcasts app has been downloaded over 500 million times on Android phones. It lets you easily find new podcasts, follow your favorites, and listen anytime. But now Google is shifting all audio services like music and podcasts to YouTube.

If you don’t transfer your podcasts by April 2, the app will still be on your phone. But you won’t be able to play any shows. So be sure to link your account in YouTube Music before then to keep enjoying your podcasts without interruptions.

YouTube Music can now support podcasts just like the Podcasts app. It allows uploading your favorite shows through RSS links too. Moving everything over will keep your listening experience similar on one consolidated app instead of two separate ones.

You have until July to still use the export tool if you miss the in-app reminders. But don’t wait – move your podcasts ASAP to YouTube Music before the deadline so you don’t lose access to your shows. Save yourself the hassle and do it today!

Google’s decision will help them strengthen in audio streaming. So don’t get left behind – follow these steps to keep listening without disruption.
