Get More Play Time with the New Meta Quest 3 Update!

With the new Meta Quest 3 update, battery life can now be improved at the expense of graphic performance, as well as YouTube Live Chat support. In Quest update v59, available now for Meta Quest 3, Quest 2, and Quest Pro, there are a few key improvements. All three headsets will feature emoji reactions through the Meta Quest chat app, a new option to join active group calls with friends, and an improved Family Center in the Quest app with daily time limits and scheduled breaks.

The Meta Quest 3 update includes an option to sacrifice some graphics for longer battery life. By turning on the “Extended Battery” mode in your settings, you can keep playing your favorite VR games for longer before needing to recharge. The graphics may not look as good, but you’ll be able to enjoy VR for more hours on a single charge.

Creators will also enjoy the new YouTube Live Chat support. Now you can see comments and questions from viewers right in your VR headset while streaming live on YouTube. There is no need to take off your headset to chat with fans!

Parents have more control too. The improved Family Center allows you to set daily playtime limits and schedule breaks to make sure VR time stays balanced.
