Apple Stops Making Tiny iPhones – Does This Mean Fewer Options for Small Phone Lovers?

If you’re a devoted fan of the iPhone mini and were anticipating Apple to unveil a comeback for the mini-series at its iPhone 15 event, your expectations were shattered today. Apple has formally put an end to its compact phone lineup following the discontinuation of the iPhone 13 mini.

Apple first started making mini versions of their iPhones in 2020. These “mini” phones were the same as the regular iPhones but smaller in size. This lets people who want smaller phones still use all the coolest iPhone features.

Sadly, mini iPhone sales weren’t as high as Apple wanted. So for their 2022 lineup, Apple replaced the mini with an even bigger phone. And now, for their next iPhone, coming in 2023, no mini version is planned.

Don’t worry, though; Apple still makes one smaller iPhone called the SE. While the SE isn’t as powerful as the flagship phones, it offers a compact option. However, other smaller phone makers like Asus are committed to keeping compact Android devices available too.

So in short, Apple is no longer making the tiniest iPhones, likely because bigger phones sell better. This means fewer cutting-edge small phone choices. But thankfully, a few options still exist for those wanting something portable. Only time will tell if compact phones can still find an audience!
