Amazon Makes Listing Items Easy

Last year, Amazon introduced generative AI-powered features to help sellers create listings with just a few words. With this update, the company is making it easier for sellers to list items that they already have listed.

Amazon has launched a new tool that allows sellers to create listings on Amazon by simply providing a URL of where the item is listed on their own website. The tool will use AI to understand the item details from the URL and automatically generate a listing for Amazon. Over 100,000 sellers have already tried Amazon’s AI created listing tools. And 80% of the time, sellers choose to use the suggestions from the AI tools to create their listings.

This new URL tool builds on Amazon’s previous AI feature that lets sellers describe an item in a few words or upload an image to generate listings. Now sellers don’t need to manually enter details if an item is already posted online. The AI scans the URL, understands the product info, and creates an engaging listing for Amazon with things like a description and background image.

In the past, Amazon found that AI generated images in listings led to 40% more clicks than plain backgrounds. So these AI tools help sellers make their items stand out. Other big companies are also developing similar AI listing assistants, like Google’s product creator and eBay’s listing generator from photos. Even Shopify added an AI photo editor for businesses last year.

In simple terms, Amazon’s new feature saves sellers time by taking their existing online listings and automatically populating complete Amazon listings using artificial intelligence. This allows small businesses and individuals to easily sell more items online.
