YouTube Music Podcasts Get Simpler to Add

Since Google Podcasts will close next year, YouTube Music is testing a way to easily add podcasts. Users can now bring in shows by RSS feed.

This means you don’t need the podcaster to upload their audio as a video. Instead, YouTube Music will understand the regular RSS feed that podcasts already use. All you do is paste the special web address.

In YouTube Music, look for “Podcasts” and tap “Add podcast”. Here you can find popular ones or enter a private web address. Your new shows will appear like normal.

In the future, a tool will move your old Google Podcasts subscriptions over automatically. Podcasters can also upload just audio, instead of video versions. This helps more shows be found on YouTube Music too.

The new RSS feature works on phones and online. Not everyone sees it yet as the rollout just began. But soon podcast lovers can keep listening easily in one app thanks to these RSS improvements!
