Xiaomi MI4 Review

Xiaomi is a really great phone maker and now in third position after Samsung and iPhone, you would respect the Chinese manufacturer for giving us great value at great pricing. While talking with Sidd from india today who decided to buy this phone instead of the Lenovo K3 Note that I reviewed earlier today and believe you me, since Sidd had the extra $100, he made the right choice.

Design

Xiaomi went all out in creating this beauty of a phone and has a great level of craftmanship that was put into it as it took 40 steps and 193 processes to finalise the steel that was used in crafting this phone. The result is a 0.8mm back cover that is a fusion of 9 membranes made possible by the In Mould Transfer.

Display

The saturation level of the phone is phenomenal as every inch of the display shows 95% of the NTSC colour palette. The result of looking at this 1920×1080 resolution screen with 441PPI is that you see deeper blacks and clearer whites. The screen is protected by Corning Concore glass.

Hardware and Storage

With the Snapdragon 801 Quad-core CPU and Andreno 330 GPU, you will understand that XIaomi wants you to understand the best from this device. I will not forget to add that you get 3GB or Ram and that is so needed for you if you love to game. The battery is at 3080mAh.

The truth is when you are using the MI4, you will most likely not see any lag as the flow is going to be silky smooth.

It comes with 16GB of internal memory with no room for expansion.

Camera and OS

The back camera is a stunning 13MP with flash and auto focus and the front camera 8MP of glory!  You will actually prefer the front to the back camera though, believe me.

It definitely runs on Android 4.4 and looks like iOS then you are sure that we are looking at MIUI 6 that comes with lots of themes, you are certain that you will find one that will work for you in any mood you might be.

Add Ons

Just as in the Xiaomi Redmi 2 reviewed, you’ll get similar add ons that contribute to security and battery saving.

On Point Rating

It is pretty difficult to give this phone an on point rating of 7.0 as I believe that at least it should have come with SD card support.
