WhatsApp Makes It Easier to Pin Important Messages

With WhatsApp’s new feature, users can easily pin up to three messages in a chat at once. In the past, users could only pin one message to the top of a conversation with a contact or group.

Now you have more options to choose important messages to always stay at the top of your chat. You can pin text, photos, or polls that you want quick access to later.

Mark Zuckerberg and Will Cathcart, the heads of Meta and WhatsApp, announced users could do this on their WhatsApp channels. Pinning a single message first started last year which was helpful.

To pin a message, press and hold it until a menu pops up. Then select “Pin.” You can pick how long you want it there – 1 day, 7 days, or 30 days. This is useful if info becomes outdated over time.

Some messages like an address you’ll always need, but there’s no forever option. The pinned message will go away after 30 days. As an alternative, you can “Star” it to find in the contact info section instead.

Pinned messages are great for things like locations so you don’t have to dig to find them. Or keep group conversations moving smoothly by highlighting important details everyone needs quick access to.
