Over the past few years, OnePlus has thrown us a lot of curveballs. Most recently, the company announced it wouldn’t release a OnePlus 11T alongside the OnePlus 11. They will also stop making Pro models, so no OnePlus 11 Pro. I thought this was strange since they released a OnePlus 10 Pro and 10T in 2022 but no OnePlus 10! OnePlus‘ phone releases have been unpredictable. But now we have our eyes on the upcoming OnePlus 12. What do the rumors say we can expect?
Many rumors point to a December launch in China and a global launch in January. This follows OnePlus‘ pattern over the last two years. We’ll find out the specs, design, and features. at the China event But the global launch tells us about availability and pricing.
The OnePlus 12 is rumored to come with the latest and greatest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip. It may have a bigger battery than before and improved cameras all around. The screen could be a large 6.7 inch display with super smooth 120Hz scrolling. OnePlus says it will have its “itsR” screen technology too.
Past OnePlus phones mixed things up with their cameras each year. Rumors suggest the 12 may finally get it right! It will reportedly have a new powerful 50-megapixel main camera. The zoom camera could be a 64MP periscope lens with 3x zoom. Fingers crossed all the lenses are high quality this time.
Pricing for the OnePlus 12 remains a mystery. The OnePlus 11 was surprisingly affordable at $699. But it missed out on features like wireless charging to hit that price. Will the 12 aim for a similar cost or go back to past Pro levels over $800?
There are already great phones out now if you don’t want to wait. But OnePlus fans eager to have the latest chip and camera upgrades may want to hold off for the OnePlus 12 launching early in 2023!
